FLOOD & SPOT BEAM
The flood beam pattern simulates normal daylight conditions to take advantage of peripheral vision. The spot beam pattern creates a narrow, powerful beam of light for pinpointing distant areas. DEWALT flashlights combine both beams for more versatility.

LED (Light Emitting Diode)
A solid-state semiconductor that converts electrical energy directly into and intense, high quality light. Able to run for very long periods of time on very little power providing extra cost savings. LEDs have greater resistance to shock or vibration damage and do not have a filament that will burn out.

LUMEN
A lumen is a unit of standard measurement used to describe the total light output of the flashlight. For example, a dinner candle provides about 12 lumens.
